Accommodation Overview
The Special Cottages have a special charm: they are round and have a roof made from palm leaves.
Their extra attraction: the sea is virtually in front of the door.
Depending on the location, you can look out over the water from your room or terrace.
The round cottages are detached and have their own outdoor sitting area. The interior includes a spacious bedroom with adjoining bathroom, air conditioning and ceiling fan.

The Ayurveda Restaurant at Somatheeram
Every Ayurvedic treatment regime at Somatheeram includes an appropriate diet. As part of their initial assessment, the resort’s doctors draw up a customised Ayurvedic menu plan for each individual guest. Various kinds of fruit, freshly squeezed juices, exotic spices: all these things ensure the food is varied and delicious. Guests eat at the Ayurveda restaurant directly on site. The menu includes around 200 Ayurvedic dishes in addition to 150 other dishes from regional and international cuisine. Guests here eat in a typical Indian architectural environment and enjoy wonderful views directly over the Indian Ocean.

Somatheeram’s Ayurveda restaurant is hugely popular with our guests. Its dishes are prepared fresh every day by our experienced kitchen team. The Ayurveda doctors are consulted about every recipe.
This also impressed the jury for the “Metro Food Awards”, who award prizes to the best restaurants in Kerala in collaboration with the Kerala tourism board. Our Ayurveda restaurant has already won the prize for “Best Ayurvedic Food” three times in succession.
